Phil Zoechner

I'm a freelance software engineer for 10+ years and enjoy solving all kinds of IT-related problems. I developed my first Android app back in 2011 (Android 3) with Java; since then, I've switched to Kotlin.

More than five years ago, I started building holistic web apps with Laravel, Vue, and Tailwind. Nowadays, I enjoy using Livewire in my projects as well.

Some interesting projects I've worked on include:

  • Plan and execute a GSuite migration for an organization with 300+ users
  • Shortest path analysis for medium-sized logistic companies
  • R&D for a Silicon Valley startup (Android computer graphics)
  • Several real-time e-commerce applications (Laravel, Elasticsearch)
  • Digital signage for a coffee franchise with Raspberry Pi (Hardware & Software)
  • GSM module sending physical location in an emergency via SMS (Python)

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, reading, and everything related to the outdoors and mountaineering. I'm also a volunteer for IAESTE Graz where I've been chairman for the last year, previously VP on the national board and still an active member of the national IT team.
